The SkyTrack™ Mobile 2 (STM-2) is a unique device used for vehicle tracking, monitoring and control. Combined with the SkyTrack central it makes the core of the SkyTrack system. The STM-2 device comes with a full array of peripherals for expansion. By adding adequate hook-ups, it can track, gather and store an extensive stream of data and activities, for example: driver identity, vehicle temperature, fuel efficiency, engine start/stop time, and door open/closed.

Thanks to the hands-free set, the device can be used for oral communication, and with PDA or a laptop, you can use it for navigation in the vehicle. All acquired information is stored in the device's internal memory and can, when needed, be sent to the central via a GSM network (CSD, GPRS). Communication can also be achieved by using a wireless Ethernet or Bluetooth connection. Experience shows that the internal memory is more than enough to keep several months' worth of data without the need to transfer it to the central. The SkvTrack™ Mobile, if adapted, can offer the linkup of a wide range of devices and command transfer (electronic lock, vehicle shutdown).
