3rd party integration
3rd party integration is a feature of SkyTrack system from the very beginning. The system was developed and upgraded to accommodate the needs of our clients, some of those upgrades include 3rd party devices integrated in to the SkyTrack system. SkyTrack system is modular and as such allows for upgrades and extras from 3rd party solutions to be installed in the vehicle, central server or the client workstation.
SkyTrack Mobile devices
STM devices have the option to connect with external devices trough RS232, Bluetooth, 1-Wire and CAN BUS interface. Examples of that kind of integration are: connecting to HART modem to receive data from micromotion sensors, connecting with HHT devices, connecting with IButton reader, connecting with CAN BUS to receive engine telemetry data.
SkyTrack server and client workstations
SkyTrack applications can connect with the client’s business software to get data on orders, customers and delivery places for geo-referencing and other uses. Client workstation can connect with a registering module to enable drivers to log on vehicles before they begin work, the module can also work without a workstation. SkyTrack central server can use a GSM modem to connect directly with a tracking device in the vehicle.
